As the need for low cost communication increases, it is only natural that the KLA Library Support Staff Round Table should utilize any means necessary to reach out to those for whom it exists to serve. For our first venture into the new methods of technological communication, we have chosen a blog. With this blog, we hope to easily and frequently keep Library Support Staff informed of issues, events and resources as they arise. This venue also opens the door for guest posters, feedback and presentation of ideas that would have traditionally been almost impossible on a statewide level or only discussed at yearly gatherings.
For those of you not familiar with the concept of blogging, have no trepidation....this is basically a web site with interactive features that allow you to read, comment, share with others and subscribe to posts as they become available. As the blog develops, please be patient while we add the necessary features that will make this a convenient and useful tool for communication and collaboration on the statewide level.
However, our greatest wish is that you take the opportunity to follow along and contribute often! By opening a statewide dialogue on Support Staff issues, perhaps we can affect some positive change. Two rules that we ask you to follow when participating: First - please practice respectful dialogue. Second - Have FUN!!!
